Is a Promotion Always Worth it?

I’m going to get this out of the way quick: most of the time, yes, a promotion is worth it.

With a promotion usually comes a higher salary (which you can use to start investing with Betterment or another low cost broker!), better company benefits, and more rewarding work.

However, in a lot of cases, people jump head first into accepting a promotion without exploring both the pros and cons of that decision. And while normally the pros of a promotion outweigh the cons, you’ll never know for sure unless you take some time to think about it!
